Exercise Right Week is upon us again! 20-26 May 2019…
This year, the theme is “Active Ageing” and the aim is to ensure regular physical activity is part of everyday like to help maintain independence, quality of life and reduction in the risk of chronic disease and mental health.
Earlier this year, a grant was provided to ESSA (Exercise and Sport Science Australia) for the Active Ageing program. This funding will help deliver a range of exercises classes and also individualised exercising and volunteering pathways.
This program will help inspire all Australians to reduce progression of chronic diseases and risk of falls, along with empowering older Australians with choices for a longer and healthier life.
